About YAMO STAY
Discover the Hidden Richness of the Journey
Cross over mountains and seas, and you'll discover breathtaking scenes that await beyond the path.
Trace the arc drawn by the sun high in the sky.
Leaving behind the rush of daily life, your destination lies in buildings that have stood for decades, quietly rooted in the land,
marking the passage of time.
In creating our private lodgings, we engage in quiet dialogue with the original owners and designers.
Feel, with your whole being, the quiet depth of things shaped by time—and the comfort of living in harmony with them, in your own way.
We hope you'll come to experience this gentle
rhythm of life.

A Private Villa on the Camphor Hill
Experience the charm of Showa-modern Japan. A single-story villa overlooking the horizon and the island of Oshima.

FEATURE
A 1960s Showa-modern vacation home, thoughtfully renovated into a fully private villa. Set atop a hill crowned by a large camphor tree, the home quietly blends into its natural surroundings. From the living room and balcony, you can look out over the Pacific Ocean and the Izu Islands. The garden is perfect for a BBQ, and a projector is available indoors. Feel, with your whole being, the quiet depth of things shaped by time—and the comfort of living in harmony with them.

Window-Side Seating
"Before renovation, the window was lined with stacked books. We imagined the former owner reading here—glancing up at the view whenever their eyes grew tired." Now, with greenery just outside and the sea beyond the terrace, we've added a comfortable sofa so you can relax again by the
window.
The tiered garden features lava rocks from Mt. Omuro's eruption, a towering camphor tree, a phoenix palm, and perennials that bloom with each passing season—a landscape that has long been rooted in this land.

The Rock Garden on Camphor Hill
The garden is a great spot for a BBQ with a view of Oshima Island.
We also provide coffee beans (sourced from a local roastery) with a drip set, and a curated seasonal record collection with a record player. A quiet morning coffee, a sunset cocktail on the balcony—this place has a
way of making those moments feel perfectly natural.
